| We are excited to welcome you for the High Holidays. Hillel UW offers traditional egalitarian services in Hebrew, as well as separate liberal services with music for the first day of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur morning. Reservations are required. Community and Jconnect tickets are by donation and student tickets are always free! | There is an unmistakable Jewish connection to foraging, and the Torah includes numerous references to wild foods; this is particularly true during the 40 years the Israelites spent in the desert. Join Jconnect for a foraging expedition led by Langdon Cook. Langdon will lead a 2 hour walk around nearby Tiger Mountain and show us the bounty of what is growing in our own backyard. | Join Jconnect for a reading of Jonathan Safran Foer's new book Eating Animals. Jonathan is a celebrated Jewish author with numerous awards for his books including Everything Is Illuminated and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. |
