The study of Jewish Art since the 1800’s has been dedicated to collecting, explaining, and preserving art works without deep concentration on deciphering the symbology until recently. Can we recognize these symbols? Do we know the history behind them? Were they always Jewish?
This lecture is about the basics of Hebrew symbols and the Jewish people as artists.
You are invited to be part of this informative and thought-provoking lecture by Andrea Diaz, an independent Jewish art historian who has worked on this field for five years.
