INTEREST GROUPS

Jconnect Seattle runs programming and classes for over 30 different Jewish young adult interest groups. Check out the Jconnect newsletter and calendar for upcoming events for these groups.

  • Biking Group - Rides together regularly in the Spring and Summer, usually trains for a big ride together (this summer we plan to ride from Seattle to Vancouver).
  • Eastside Lox 'n Learn - Monthly class about Jewish views on controversial issues, taught by Rabbi Will Berkovitz and Rabbi Jacob Fine. Meets on the Microsoft Campus in Redmond.
  • Fitnesses Classes - Weekly yoga, jazz dance courses taught by a local instructor.
  • Hebrew Discussion Group - Gets together at Hillel to practice speaking Hebrew together.
  • JAG: Jewish and Graduating 21+ Students -

    You can find us at any Happy Hour around the U-District with some cold brew and good conversation.  Plus we want to help you brush up your resume or brainstorm your next step after college.  Students over 21 are also eligible to participate in JConnect, our amazing young adult program.   • Jewish Downtown Professionals - Monthly lunches and happy hours downtown for business networking and socializing.
  • Jewish Learning Initiative - Classes for learners of all backgrounds every Tuesday night at Hillel, starting again on Nov 1.
  • Jewish Legal Society - Two separate groups serving Jewish law students at UW and Seattle U.
  • Jews 'n Brews - Bi-Monthly get-togethers at area bars to make new friends and have a few drinks. First Sunday of the month in Seattle, third Sunday of the month on the East Side.
  • Shabbat Around the Sound - Bi-monthly night of Shabbat Potluck Dinners hosted in Jconnect homes around Seattle.
  • Shabbat at Beth Shalom, Third Friday - Monthly partnership program with Congregation Beth Shalom for services followed by an oneg.
  • Shabbat at Herzl-Ner Tamid, First Fridays - Bi-monthly partnership program with Congregation Herzl Ner Tamid for services followed by shabbat dinner.
  • Shabbat with Jconnect, Second Friday - Monthly services (Reform and Conservative) at Hillel followed by a kosher dinner at Hillel just for Jconnect participants.
  • Ski and Snow Board Group - Group trips to the slopes during ski season, including annual "snow tubing" at Snoqualmie Pass.
  • Social Justice League - Coordinates all ongoing social justice programs, and creates periodic one-time opportunities to volunteer with local organizations
  • Softball Teams - Compete weekly in the summer league at the Mercer Island JCC.
  • Spanish Discussion Group - Gets together at a local cafe to practice speaking Spanish together.
  • Taglit-Birthright Israel Alumni - Regular reunion events for alums of birthright Israel trips.
  • Team Works - Two teams of volunteers do community service projects together on the first weekend of the month, in partnership with Seattle Works.
  • Yoga Class - This weekly class taught by Jconnector and Certified Yoga Instructor Whitney Stern is a great opportunity to unwind and re-center.  Open to everyone, it's one of the most popular classes at Hillel and the best deal for great yoga in town. Contact: Josh
