Jewish Arts Month starts off with a bang this year with our Artist's Reception. We will be celebrating all of the artists who participated in this year's Jewish Arts Month with a wine and cheese reception, beautiful music and a public viewing of their creations. Come for the art, come for the wine, but just come!
Jewish Learning Initiative at Hillel
February 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th from 7:30-9 PM
Come to our monthly learning Jewish Learning Classes every Tuesday in February. This month JLI has a twist in that it is the Arts edition so every class, except the Intro to Judaism class will be involving the arts! The arts classes will be Intro to Improv and Jewish Crafts. The Intro to Judaism class will be focusing on theology as we explore the diversity of Jewish conceptions of God. Check out the link below to find out more info.
Coolooloosh, Israeli Funk Band

Come celebrate Jewish Arts Month at Hillel UW and see one Israel's Hottest bands right now, Coolooloosh, perform at Hillel UW. They are an up and coming band from Jerusalem, check out their music here. Coolooloosh is here to open for Subliminal, an Israeli Hip-Hop artist, who is performing at Nectar Lounge on Feb 7 as part of the Taglit-Birthright Israel Isreality Tour. See Coolooloosh tonight FOR FREE (as opposed to tomorrow when you will have to pay) who will be joined by Israeli Soldiers and some Taglit-Birthright Israel Alumni to give a short presentation about life in Israel.
Subliminal, Israeli Hip-Hop

Celebrate Jewish Arts Month with Jconnect Seattle at Nectar Lounge in Fremont with Taglit-Birthright Israel's Israelity Tour featuring Israeli hip-hop artist Subliminal, Israeli funk/hip-hop act Collooloosh, folk artist Michelle Citron, and comedian Mo Mandel. This night is going to be a ton of fun and you would be crazy to miss it! Tickets are $15 ($10 for undergrads) and can be purchased in advance.

This event will feature music, performance art, film, comedy, and more all done by Jewish Young Adults from the Pacific Northwest. Every room at Hillel UW will be bursting with talent and excitement. Come to this night of wonderful entertainment which will celebrate the end of Hillel UW's Jewish Arts Month.
