Successful Jew It Yourself proposals are programs or events that are focused on bringing together a small or medium-sized group of Jconnectors and Jewish people in their 20s and 30s to “do Jewish” together, without requiring the structure of a formal program. Proposals serving fewer than four people, or a single household, are unlikely to be successful. Your reason for gathering should be Jewishly relevant, but what that means is up to you! We’re excited to hear about the creative ways you find to express your Jewish identity.
In addition to potentially being subsidized, approved Jew It Yourself events can be added to the Jconnect website to attract additional participants. By accepting Jconnect support for your event, you’re agreeing to send us a list of attendees and (if it’s during Shabbat or a holiday, if it’s within your practice) photos of the event.
