8:00pm to 9:00pmThis pandemic has given everyone a story. A story of something cancelled or changed. We are collectively experiencing a lot of grief for things lost, and even with what feels like all the time in the world, not enough to actually process and mourn the hurt and heartbreak. It's also difficult knowing that moments we had to look forward to or plan have also been taken away.
So instead of Second Friday Shabbat, we are going to be celebrating Havdalah this week. Both Passover and Havdalah offer moments to acknowledge separation, and the juxtaposition, not compartmentalization, of time.
Let's take the opportunity that our rituals give us to collectively and communally grieve the past, sit in the present, and hope for the future. Exact schedule to come, but expect some space for learning, dialogue, and singing.
