I Will Follow You – The Story of Ruth and Naomi and a Glimpse into Jewish Women’s Spirituality

Wednesday, May 13

7:00pm to 9:00pm
Hillel UW
4745 17th Ave NE
Seattle WA 98105

The festival of Shavuot is celebrated by reading the Book of Ruth, the moving biblical story which traces the relationship between two women: Ruth the Moabite, and Naomi, her Israelite mother-in-law. The story of Ruth and Naomi provides a glimpse into Jewish women’s spirituality, and helps us recognize the value of the relationships we build with our partners’ parents.

Please join us on the evening of May 13 to study selections from the Book of Ruth, and learn from a few members of our Jconnect community who will reflect on their relationships with their mothers-in-law. Stay with us after the learning to enjoy some delicious blintzes in celebration of Shavuot!
