Lox 'N' Learn is happening again!
Join Rabbi Dana Benson, Assistant Director at Hillel at the University of Washington, for a fun lunch break during your work day at Microsoft. Enjoy lox, a bagel and schmear, and discuss topics about Judaism and Jewish tradition.
This month we will talking about the role of Jews in the Civil Rights movement. Using documents collected by the American Jewish Archives, Rabbi Dana will share the narratives of individual Rabbis and Jewish leaders, and their choices around how they either helped to openly support the civil rights movement, or their fears of being involved. Through these texts we will understand the role of Jews during moments of social change in America, as well as what impact we as modern Jews can have in creating social change today.
This event is open to all Microsoft employees, so feel to bring your favorite coworker with you.
Please RSVP to reserve your seat.
Microsoft building access is required.
