Pizza and Parsha

Thursday, February 04

6:00pm to 8:00pm
Moishe House Seattle
Contact: Moishe House Seattle and Jconnect

Join Jconnect and Moishe House for a collaborative learning event with Dr. David Bernstein, the Dean of Pardes. A dinner of kosher pizza will be provided.

We will be discussing: The Limits of Pluralism, Peace and Love
Perhaps the most common buzz-word to be found among Jewish organizations today is “pluralism.” And who can be against peace and love? Using classical Jewish texts that seem to support politically correct views, we will dig a bit deeper to uncover some of the costs along the way of trying to achieve these lofty goals.

Join Moishe House, JConnect and Dr. David Bernstein, Dean of the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, for an interactive, thought-provoking learning and discussion session exploring this challenge.

The Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies is an open, co-ed and non-denominational Jewish learning community, based in Jerusalem and with programs worldwide. Students encounter and grapple with classic texts and traditions of Judaism, while exploring their relevance to today’s most pressing issues. Pardes empowers students with the knowledge and tools to take ownership of their Jewish experience. Come learn more about our Summer Programs and Semester/Year Program, including fellowship options, a new internship add-on and international travel opportunities.

RSVP for the address.
