Join us for Second Friday Shabbat...but...make it a COCKTAIL PURIM PARTY!!
Co-Hosted by Moishe House Seattle!
Here is what you need to know:
1 - Come in your most amazing costumes! Pirates, fairies, ladybugs, superheroes - we want them all and more! Time to show off! There will be a COSTUME CONTEST at some point in the evening - with a prize!
2 - We will have some fun games! Think giant jenga and the like! (Solomon will get competitive, get ready!!)
3 - We will have a polaroid "photobooth" - leave the evening with some physical memories of you and your Jconnect friends!
4 - WE ARE GIVING OUT PRIZES!! At 9pm (1 hour into our amazing Purim Party) we will begin "The Great Search for the Lost Megillah"! One of the Purim characters has stolen the sacred text, and it is up to YOU to solve a series of riddles to find out who has taken our beloved scroll. The first three to find the correct culprit get a gift card. The next 10 get a prize as well!
5 - Lastly, we will OF COURSE be enjoying a delicious buffet, amazing drinks at "Perry's Bar" *TM*, music, dancing, and more!
6 - One of the mitzvahs (commandments) of Purim is to give to people in need, so we are partnering with the UW Food Pantry to host a food drive at Hillel from March 10th-March 14th. Please bring non-perishable food to Hillel during the week or on Shabbat if you can!
You don't want to miss out! RSVP below!
Please contact us at least one week in advance if you have any special dietary needs or restrictions that require additional accommodation.
We know you lovely Seattleites love to RSVP at the last possible minute! To help ensure we have enough food and drinks for all, and to encourage early RSVPs we are offering early-bird pricing of $20 through end of day March 11th. This will go up to $25 and then is $30 on March 14th/at the door.
Financial capacity should never be a barrier to participation in Jconnect programming. If you would like to join us for dinner but the cost presents an impediment, please reach out to Solomon at solomon@hilleluw.org.
