7:00pm to 9:00pmA Small Act is an award-winning film that tells the story of how a small contribution by a Holocaust survivor changed the life of a young Kenyan boy by funding his education, and how that boy, in turn, after becoming a Harvard-educated human rights officer at the UN, has changed the lives of hundreds of other Kenyan children by creating a fund that supports their education, which he named after his Jewish benefactor.
Chris Mburu, the UN officer, and Kimani Patrick Nyambura, who was 14 when the film was shot and is now a student at Northwest University in Kirkland, will be watching the film and discussing it together for the first time in the US.
We hope you will join us for an extraordinary event celebrating a film about kindness, caring and hope for the future. (Doors open at 6:30pm)
